A Tip o' the Brush! Sealing the Surface

Top o' the mornin' to ye!

Surface Preparation Tip

When a Sealer is required as the first step for surface preparation, mix a small amount of the acrylic base coat color with the sealer (up to 1:1) to hasten the preparation process.  The tinted sealer will have greater "tooth" to grab the next layer of paint, and fewer top coats will be needed for even coverage. For smaller designs, such as "Paddy O" (offered Free above) mix a light hue such as White or Fleshtone with the sealer for the first step. Allow the sealer to dry, then rub lightly with fine sandpaper to remove the rough raised grain. Wipe the surface free of dust before transferring the pattern onto the surface.  Happy Painting!
