"Pink Water Lily" in Watercolor PM

My childhood home was located near a small pond surrounded by shady woods and fragrant scrub pines.  From my bedroom window, through the bare branches of winter or early spring, I could catch a glimpse of the sparkling, sunlit water.  As the days grew longer and warmer - when the bog peepers began to sing - I'd wander down to the water's edge (with my little brother in tow) to discover a fascinating world of colors, scents, sounds, textures, and exotic living things that excited my creative mind and fueled my imagination.  This "Pink Water Lily"  is one of my painted memories from Nightingale Pond.  I'm delighted to share it with you!
