"On the Rocks" Lighthouse in Watercolor

Tuesday Morning, July 20th @ 10:00 AM (EDT)

Thursday Evening, July 22nd @ 7:00 PM (EDT)

Living my whole life in New England - from Maine to Cape Cod - I am fascinated by these enigmatic towers firmly grounded on bedrock, rising above the tides to warn and to guide. In this lesson, we'll explore ways of creating texture with watercolors. We'll also study the element of form - using value and color to create the cylinders of the tower structure.  The methods and techniques taught in this lesson can be easily applied to many other subjects you may wish to paint on your own!

"On the Rocks" is painted on a piece of cold press, 140 lb. watercolor paper, and the size (9" x 12" ), and it will fit into an 11" x 14" mat and frame.  A Class Information File containing a complete supplies list as well as photos, pattern, and Zoom Meeting access codes can be downloaded upon completion of your registration.  Go to our STORE page to register for the class date/time of your choice.

Let's paint together soon!
