Paint these handsome, richly textured pumpkins on a rustic "Welcome" sign to greet your autumn guests! This piece, painted in acrylics, uses surprise ingredients (texture paste and watercolor masking fluid) to give the pumpkins their realistic, bumpy texture. Crackle medium was used on the trim (I use Weathered Wood by DecoArt) to give the appearance of aged, peeling paint. Of course, the piece could be painted without the special mediums - but, isn't it fun to experiment with something new and unusual!
The original piece was painted on a wood panel (approx. size 11" x 11"). Acrylic paints and mediums listed in the packet are by DecoArt. This is a traditional pattern packet formatted as a .pdf document which you can download to your computer. It includes a supplies list, pattern template, and complete painting instructions with photos.
