Hugge (alt. hygge) - pronounced "hoo-gah" - is a Scandinavian word that describes a mood of coziness, comfort, and warmth with feelings of well-being. Hugge is a lifestyle that embraces simplicity in a relaxed atmosphere, cultivating a spirit of happiness and contentment. Mugs of hot chocolate, glowing candles, warm mittens, cozy houses, simple hearts... Let's start the New Year with lots of HUGGE!
In this fun and relaxing project, you'll make watercolor washes in cool winter hues as backgrounds for simple pen illustrations which reflect the meaning of hugge. My original illustrations were rendered to fit a size 4" x 6" card, but patterns can be resized to fit any format you choose.
